MINI has given the Countryman a genuinely more adventure-focused factory edition—not just a badge and paint package. The new Untamed Edition adds model-specific exterior hardware, optional all-terrain tyres and, on the electric SE, a useful ride-height increase. Separately, a newly surfaced US pricing guide shows how BMW i3 options affect wheels, suspension, lighting and the final price.

MINI Countryman Untamed: more than a styling pack
MINI’s official UK announcement confirms a redesigned vertical grille with Dark Steel trim, redesigned side sills, new front and rear underbody-protection elements and a sculpted Dark Steel rear diffuser. Textured matt-black protective film sits above the wheelarches, along the sills and on the bonnet’s power dome to help resist stone chips.
The edition also introduces exclusive 19-inch Untamed wheels, shaped to echo classic off-road steel wheels. Buyers of the S and SE can specify Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres. The electric SE goes further with a 15mm ride-height increase over the standard Countryman.
Colours and practical equipment
Nomad Blue and Hideaway Grey are exclusive to the edition. Frozen Nomad Blue will follow for January 2027 orders and is described by MINI as the brand’s first factory matt paint finish. Nanuq White and Midnight Black remain available, with Glazed White or Jet Black roof choices.
An optional towbar is offered across all four powertrains. MINI quotes towing capacity of up to 2,000kg, plus roof loads of up to 75kg while moving and 300kg when stationary. A MINI roof tent developed with AUTOHOME and camping equipment created with HELINOX will be sold separately.

UK prices start at £33,595 OTR. Orders are open now through MINI retailers, with first customer deliveries expected in early 2027. MINI has not published every derivative price in the launch release, so the headline figure should not be read as the price of every powertrain.
BMW i3 US options guide: where the cost climbs
A US pricing guide dated 30 September and reported by BMWBLOG on 6 October lists the 2027 BMW i3 50 xDrive at $61,500, or $62,850 including the $1,350 destination charge. US production is reported to begin in November. These figures are US-market information and should not be treated as UK pricing or specification.

The clearest enthusiast point is that visible hardware is becoming package-dependent. The illuminated grille, brake specification, wheel size and suspension are not all independent choices. BMWBLOG’s loaded example reaches $78,650, showing how quickly a seemingly simple configuration can change in both price and physical specification.
What owners and modifiers should take away
The Untamed grille, sill treatment, protection pieces, diffuser and SE ride height make it unsafe to assume that every standard Countryman exterior accessory will transfer unchanged. On the i3, package dependencies mean wheel, brake, suspension and illuminated-grille compatibility will need to be checked by exact market and factory equipment—not merely by model name.
